What do you use FreeZone for the most?

Hey guys,

I know things have been fairly quiet on the FreeZone front, but we're pulling things together and will hopefully see some changes in the very near future.

Can you guys please vote on the poll with what you like about FreeZone and which parts of FreeZone you use the most
Looking forward to getting everyones feedback.

I use it mostly for gaming, but also for steam. The ftp, seldom, but I do like some of the games patches that are available on there. Especially when they big.

Definitely the Steam and FTP downloads. Though it would be cool if WAGE had a gaming related video section where you could watch videos on FreeZone.

I use mostly game servers and Steam.

Tbh I don't find the ftp server of much use, having to ask for something to be uploaded isn't that convenient for me. I'm not sure if it does this already, but maybe it could be set up to automatically fetch new versions of drivers/software as they are released, and maybe game demos or something.

FTP & Steam mostly. I also think downloads for Mac users such as OSX & iLife updates, etc. I'm not sure how feasible it would be to also Freezone the Mac app store. Especially due to the imminent release of the next Mac OS, OSX Lion, which is a hefty 4GB download-only OS. Other reasons for the app store include pro users and students (right here) who have macs and are wanting to buy and/or upgrade their software from the store, such as Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor, etc., all of which are quite big DLs. I think its frustrating when you have to spend >R2000 on the software alone, and still have to purchase extra bandwidth to DL it. Just my 2c

I use it mostly for steam DLs, but also for WAGE Minecraft server, seeing as Minecraft somehow obliterates cap if its not freezoned

I just realised that the WAGE TS server isn't mentioned in the poll. That's also one of the main FreeZone features that I use.

At the moment minecraft is counting the most to my free zone

JUst about the only thing I HAVEN't used FreeZone for is online gaming: I have never really got into that, possibly because I am so bad at first person shooters.
