What games are you hosting?

Please refer to our games page to view a complete listing however the following four titles will be available at launch:

• Call of Duty : World at War

Where do I get the games hosted on the Web Africa servers?

You can purchase games from most leading computer or multimedia stores. Illegally copied games CAN NOT be played on our servers.

I have the game but I can't connect to the server?

The patch version you have of the game might be different from the one on our servers. Please be sure to update your game to the exact same version as is running on the server.

How do I contact the games master and what requests can I send?

You can contact the Games Master either through the forums or by sending an email to johnathan@webafrica.co.za. Please use the type of query as the subject when E-mailing:

* Custom maps, mods or a new game
* Cheating
* General query
* Administrator applications
* Bad Posts
* Abuse

Will my CD Keys ever be required by Web Africa?

Never send any CD-Key information to us. We will never ask for this information. If you do come across any emails or sites requesting this information that looks like it is from Web Africa then it is likely a scam and you should notify the Games Master immediately so we can investigate

Where can I find game specific frequently asked questions?

This will be located at the gaming forum under the relevant game type

Punk buster keeps kicking me from the game what should I do?

Please download Pbupdate and manually update the client as this occurs when the server has a newer version installed than the game client. The software can be downloaded from http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php if required.

How do I find my Steamid for Half-Life and Half-Life 2 based games like Counter-Strike?

* Load the game and join a server.
* Open the console. ( The default key for this is “~” )
* Now type in “status”. A list of all the players, including yourself, will be displayed.
* Look for your nickname. You will see your Steamid on the same line (Eg. STEAM_0:0:123456 ).

How do I get my GUID for a game that runs PunkBuster as an anticheat?

Open the console in the game and type in the following command: PB_MyGuid

What does ROE stand for?

The standard rules which applies to all games across the board will be found under the rules section of the WAGE site however game specific rules and mod explanations will be posted in the game section under the relevant category

Why are the admins so strict on whats acceptable forum content?

Trolling, overly argumentative posts or posting illicit content such as pornography or that contains swear words detracts from the community image as a whole. These forums and servers are for good clean fun only.

Will You be hosting Battle Net or Blizzard titles such as WoW or Diablo III locally?

we will look into it *holds thumbs*. Remember that if Blizzard was to even consider looking down here they would likely want to align themselves with a community that has the right image

How can I ensure we get FreeZone access?

Any Web Africa ADSL subscriber will automatically gain the benefit of FreeZone. Just to clarify this would include all @wadsl @wadsl.unshaped @wadsl.local however IS accounts are excluded

NOTE: FreeZone access will not be included on the below packages while accessing the Internet with a .v or .s at the end of the user name

Yes...add the IP to your favourites..

Three ways, when you go to the server browser click on "Source" at the top until you get "Favourites" then click on "Add Favourite" on the right under "Quick Refresh" and enter the IP there. Alternatively you can open your console by pressing the tilde "~" key next to your "1" key at the top left of your keyboard and type "/connect <ip>" this will not add the server as a favourite tho, and you will have to do this every time you want to connect. You can also use HLSW. www.hlsw.org. Instructions will be on the website.
