    We want to remove cloned maps, but we want to know which ones you prefer.

    just make it easy and keep home sweet home, buck wild, and great river. delete all other maps from the server

    yep well its the only maps that are ever played which is very sad, so adding new maps is a waste of time unless you remove RTV

    it wont flop at all, if you play on any of the surf servers (IS, SGS, WAGE, gamezone and any future servers) you'll note how every one keeps rtv'ing to kuckwild then homo sweet homo then often back to kuck wild and the other 2 maps here and there. none of the new maps such as "ember" dont get played for more then 1 round and in my opinion its killing the surf servers cuase all the regular players are getting bored playing 4 maps over and over such as bacon, entopy, my self, and probably many others and countless new players who are bored after going between 2 maps

    skill vs combat isnt what i have a problem with, my problem is that No one wants to give any new maps a try skill or combat. but as you said in the other thread maybe try 5 or 10 min where you cant rtv back to buck wild. and the skill map server would fail instantly so wouldnt recommend even putting it up

    The server is dominated by people that dont have the skill for skill maps and they not willing to learn, which means they get board on skill maps, so the new maps like ember and others are only fun to a handful of us. It may pay to load up new combat maps so people will have more of a choice for combat maps and hopefully people wont vote for the common 1s

    You need to compare the supply and demand.
    there is an excess supply for skill maps, so by chance every vote has 5 maps, generally 3/5 of those maps are skill maps (due to the excess supply) yet the "fun" maps always win, so maybe you like skill maps, but you can play that in your own time since it doesn't require team work, it makes as much sense to me as Element TD on Multiplayer (don't get me wrong, it's one of the best TDs).

    sigh. let me try explain 1 more time, I and probably many others (if they havent left from boredem allready) want to play All the maps on the server both skill and combat at the moment theres pretty much 4 maps that get played

    have the "RTV" feature only kick in after 10 mins in a map... so you can atleast play 10 minutes of new maps before going back to buck wild. or remove it totaly which id personally prefer


    or a more drastic approach which i know wont happen but ill put it out there any way. delete ALL the maps and put random new ones on (combat And skill)

    The 10min idear sounds good. The only prob is that 1 round of a skill map is 6-10min so we will only get to play 1 round be4 people start RTVing.

    I have only read all this now and Wabit is slightly wrong, there are about 8 maps normally played on the server. I completely agree that skill maps arent played cause no one wants to learn how to surf properly, but they just want to get better at killing people while surfing, which defeats the point of surfing.
    Having two servers, one for combat on for skill will not work. If there is 4 on skill and 10 on combat, its not as fun. I think admins should be able to switch off rtv in the game which i doubt is even possible.
    Now and again people say there is going to be a skill hour and stuff like that. So I think we should have one hour of skill maps a day, or one day of the week only skill maps. The only problem is how to keep combat maps to keep coming up. The admin can change to skill maps, but people can still vote for others. But i wont to hear your thoughts on this.

    change the rtv % to above 90%, that will help fix the problem. and take away the stats, ppl dont play skill because there is no points or they cant get to the place where they get points. Did stats kill the game?

    I think that having certain time slots a day for skill maps is a great idear. It would force people to play skill maps if they want to surf in that time slot therefore increasing the players skill on the server.

    i disagree. i think playing skill maps 1 after the other will get boring very quickly and will kill the server. id say the best way is skill then combat then skill and so on...
