    Default New affiliate Section

Heya all, seeing as the affiliate program is up and running smoothly, we have now decided to add an affiliate section to our forum for our clients and future clients. Please take some time to view this link for more info.

    http://www.webafrica.co.za/partner/

    How it works
    Repayment:
We offer clients repayment via electronic payment. Payments may be selected.

    Referring:
You simply supply a url to your customers, once the link it clicked a cookie will be added on their side. Any purchases made within 30 days from the specified customer will then be applied to the affiliates account. Alternatively the referrers code may manually be entered on the checkout page.

    Partner Agreement:
    - If a referred service is cancelled the affiliate will receive no further commission.
    - We reserve the right to terminate the service referred to us at any stage.
    - Payment must first be made by the referred customer before the affiliate will receive any commission.
    - We reserve the right to discontinue or ammend our partner program at any stage.
    - Specials and discounts applied to services will reduce the affiliates commission proportionately.

For questions and general feedback regarding our affiliate program, please email us: affiliates@webafrica.co.za or alternatively post on this forum.

You are welcome to post your comments, queries etc.

    Hi there,

I am currently an affiliate and it seems to work alright for the first month only!

You guys have a customer thanks to me and I got that person to add my client code in the checkout etc....

At the end of the first month I receive my affiliate earnings as required BUT then my affiliate decides to 'topup' his account from within his own personal client service area which BYPASSESS me!!!!

This 30 day thing should be changed to the time period selected by the affiliate ( 15 % for 6 months; 10 % for 12 months or 5% indefinetly )

I personally opted for the 15% for 6 months but the person I referred purchased a prepaid account not a standard account!

So I made a wopping R5.25!!!!! wow thanks WA for your great innovation!

Now i've made R5.23 because i've just spent my 2c on you guys

Good point, its really designed for recurring services like normal DSL and hosting.

I suppose it would be fair to award for prepaid topups as well on that account as well. Shouldn't be too hard for us to track it. Let me see what we can do.

Well if a customer had to 'topup' within the 6,12 etc months.... shudn't it count aswell?

What is the deference if the customers topup their accounts once they reach their cap or at the end of the month?

As far as I knew we were already adding top-ups to the referer provided the topups were made within the timeframe selected by the referer. I will get this checked though and make sure that this is the case.

    Thanks for the feedback headstrong.

    Hi Rupert

Quick Suggestion. Maybe consider adding the benifits in more detail (On the WA Site) especially the percentages indicated as I presume that you will get more questions with regards to this.

    Regards

    Paul

I see that you are trying to tackle the Spam Issues, which I suppose must be fairly labour Intensive (?). Matter of Interest though, what happened to the Member in Question - See Last Post??

Think it was a one-hit-wonder Most likely a spam bot signing up and making a single post... We should probably get signup filtering going using maybe... captcha's?

Can we get some banners from WA to use on our advertisements? Meaning the WA banners themselves for instance?

It stores it as a cookie, meaning even if they close their browser down, come back the next day and order something on webafrica.co.za, it will pickup the affiliate code.

Also on ordering you can manually put in the code as well to receive credit.

Hi Hades. You can simply send us a support ticket requesting that your Affiliate welcome message be resent to you - it contains the URL...

Likewise - I think that we learn from each other though.

Great Service from WA as usual.

    Hi,

I heard along the "grape vine" that WebAfrica is working on a API for hosting and for Domain Name registrations. Is it correct? If so.. when do you foresee this going into fruition.. (if u r looking for beta testers.. don't be shy)

    Kind reg's

    Hi Marek,

    Thanks for the interest.

Bulk automation, for our large resellers is indeed going to be one of our focuses in the new year, we are admittedly backed up though with projects so it may be a good 4-6 months before this is up and running, we will be sure to post on the forums once we have something together though so keep your eyes peeled
